Beefeater 24 was launched on October 30, 2008. It is distilled in Kennington, London. To the traditional botanicals of the Beefeater, the Master Distiller Desmond Payne has added a blend of rare teas. It doesn't get any more English! The creation of this gin took 18 months of experiments and tests. It seems that the recipe takes inspiration from family history, as James Burrough's father was a tea merchant in the Victorian era. The name derives not only from the duration of the infusion, but also from the London life that never stops, London is active 24 hours a day.

This gin owes its name to the duration of the infusion process. The copper stills are loaded with the neutral distillate and then the botanicals are added and left to infuse for 24 hours, in order to extract the maximum flavor. After the infusion, a balanced distillation takes place not through technological means, but using the sense of smell of the expert distillers who produce it.

Beefeater 24 has a lighter flavor, with fewer juniper notes, than the original. The tea brings different flavors to the finish and a pleasant dryness and cleanliness of the palate. It is more citrusy, but the aftertaste recalls the familiar one of London Dry and, even if in a very delicate way, you can also feel the licorice. Although the alcohol content is higher (45 °) than that of the classic Beefeater (40 °), the feeling is that it is the opposite.
