In 2015 three young Sicilians started the project that led to the creation of Volcano Gin. The idea was born from the observation that juniper grows spontaneously throughout the Etna area and from the desire to create a product that had a strong territorial influence and that was a worthy ambassador of the region. Sicily boasts a unique heritage, rich in excellent resources that have been carefully selected to obtain a harmonious and balanced result. Great care is taken not only in the development of research through the exaltation of territoriality, but also in the study of packaging. The lines of the bottle recall the era of American Prohibition and speakeasies. The volcanic sand cap, handmade by a local artisan, gives a distinct personality to the design, allowing a small piece of Etna to travel with every single bottle of Volcano Gin. Recommended in smooth tasting, where the flavors and aromas of the territory are enhanced to the maximum, but also perfect in any type of blending.

Volcano Gin is a cold compound. The neutral alcohol of cereals is distilled with juniper berries. Each botanical is put to macerate individually in the cold base, each according to the most suitable times. The individual infusions are filtered and assembled in the right proportions. Finally, the gin rests for about a month in stainless steel silos, then it is bottled and left to refine for another two months in the bottle.

Volcano Gin tickles the nose with its bursting floral notes with herbaceous nuances. On the palate it is full and enveloping with a marked mineral note due to the juniper harvested on the volcanic rocks of Etna. The delicate notes of the broom are supported by the balsamic notes of the fennel, which give freshness to the gin, enhanced by the citrus notes of the bitter orange. In the long finish, notes of dried fruit emerge that grant fatness and depth, giving a balanced and harmonious complexity to the distillate. The strong hints of Volcano Gin make it suitable for drinking straight as well as being an excellent base for mixing.
