The Dalwhinnie distillery, located in the homonymous village of the Highlands in Scotland, was founded in this place towards the end of the nineteenth century, in order to take advantage of the pure waters of the Lochan-Doire-Uaine spring and the abundant peat present in the nearby marshes. Immersed in a fantastic mountain scenery, it produces Scotch Whiskey classified among the Single Malts of Speyside and is considered among the highest distilleries in Scotland. As per tradition, its name derives from the Gaelic word Dail-coinneeamh, which means " meeting point ", as a reminder that here, in ancient times, the herdsmen who followed the routes to take their cattle to pasture met here. The Dalwhinnie Highland Single Malt aged 15 years, is an excellent Scotch Whiskey with absolutely impeccable aromas and taste, to be drunk in tranquility as a worthy crowning for our moment of meditation.

Antique gold color, it opens on intense and luxurious hints of fruit and custard, dried flowers, toffee, honeysuckle, cinnamon and smoke. It envelops the palate with great softness and warmth, the spicy and pastry notes, dried fruit and vanilla return, to finish with a smoky persistence.

Smooth, alone or in combination with a piece of aged Castelmagno. A real pleasure!
