The Chimay monastery is one of only six monasteries in Belgium that can boast the title "authentic Trappist product", a quality brand now known all over the world. Initially it was brewed as a Christmas beer, suitable for the holidays, but its success was such that it has been part of the production for years now; it is an authentic Belgian beer which, thanks also to the careful selection of hops used, finds its trump card in freshness, which makes it one of the few easy-drinking dark beers on the market.

The color is intense brown, with a soft cream-colored foam and excellent persistence. On the nose, caramelized and toasted sensations prevail, accompanied by chocolate and licorice notes, all on a hoppy and malty background. On tasting it reveals all its characteristics, it is intense, complex, with a round and full taste, not too dry and with hints of caramel in perfect balance with the final bitterness. A champion who does not tire the mouth.
