Its aroma leads us to imagine berries (blackberries) and violet flowers. The color is one of its main virtues, it is intense and deep, a red with shades that tend to dark purple.

In the mouth the flavor is that of a robust and well structured wine; with an intense and fruity aroma with hints of small black fruits and spices, in particular black pepper stands out. It has a good structure and persistence, it is soft and quite fresh with medium tannins.

Aged cheeses and meat, with pasta with tomato sauce it is perfect, excellent with game meat such as venison or wild boar and all baked red meat in general, as well as with meat stews. We can say that medium strong flavors and Syrah are allies of luxury.

It is one of the so-called "international" red grape varieties. Today this vine, widespread all over the world, is grown in many regions of Italy. Sicily, probably, has been able to better interpret the Syrah grape, of which today it represents in qualitative terms, one of the best world productions.
