Yu Gin is inspired by Japanese culture, in particular by Wabi Sabi, a philosophy that values ​​simplicity while embracing complexity and so the gin is complex in taste, but simple in its genuineness, with few natural ingredients. It is produced in France with local ingredients apart from the two oriental botanicals: Yuzu, which gives the gin its name, and Sichuan pepper.
All the ingredients of Yu Gin are of French origin, except Sichuan pepper from China and Japanese Yuzu (the citrus fruit that gives the product its name). The botanicals are distilled separately in the traditional way, in the Cognac region. Only after a quality control of each individual distillate takes place the assembly so that all the hints are brought back into the final product. The alcoholic base for maceration comes from wheat. The alcoholates obtained for each aromatic base are 70% vol.
Yu Gin is balanced and aromatic on the nose, with strong hints of juniper that balance the fresh notes of lime and licorice and the spicy notes of Sichuan pepper. Upon tasting, Yu Gin fills the palate with the prevailing notes of juniper and then opens up to the citrusy freshness of Yuzu which in the aftertaste is accompanied by notes of Sichuan pepper.
