In 2009, London's first copper distillery was established in 189 years.
Sipsmith's mission was simple: to bring London Dry Gin, in its uncompromising quality and character, back to the city that gave it its name.
Sipsmith London Dry Gin is handcrafted by distilling English barley with a selection of 10 botanicals.

On the nose, the floral hues recall summer meadows, strengthened by the fragrance of juniper berries and the freshness of citrus fruits. In this gin you can detect the flavors of juniper, lemon tart and orange marmalade. On the finish the Sipsmith is similar to the other London dry, dry with hints of juniper and lemon.

A small group of friends founded the Sipsmith Independent Distillery in 2009. Among them they are called "sip-smiths". It is the first distillery with a copper still to be located in London in the last 150 years. In support of their philosophy, which celebrates distillation as an art, they have selected 10 botanists from various parts of the world to create their gin, in which, inspired by experiences in the USA, they add a drop of vodka.

The producers use the traditional production process, the “one-shot” gin. The botanicals are distilled together with the spirit, while the herbs are infused only once. The uniqueness of this gin is the use of vodka at the base of the production.
