Orbium is a reinterpretation of Hendrick's Gin by our Master Distiller, Lesley Gracie. Distilled with additional extracts of quinine, wormwood and lotus flower, the result is a strangely exquisite gin that fits the palate perfectly, complementing our beloved cucumber and rose essences. Produced in a limited series

The distillers who brought us Hendrick's beloved cucumber and pink gin struck another great innovation: gin chinato. Infusing their spirit with quinine and absinthe, Hendrick's has created a complex and intriguing drink that pays homage to what is often mixed with gin: tonic and vermouth. The flavors of quinine and absinthe are complemented by blue lotus flowers, which add bright floral notes to the mix
it is ALMOST CERTAINLY not for everyone, and not available forever. Orbium is distilled in extremely small batches and is not always available.
The addition of Lotus Blossom exquisitely balances the overall flavor; but the trinity of essences together creates a complex gin with a surprising brightness and an unusually long finish perfect for the martini obsessed.
Orbio comes from the word 'orb', the plural of Orbis and the Latin for circle. It is inspired by Lesley's description of the journey of the liquid. It represents the spherical round taste that Lesley is referring to when she describes the style of the Hendrick house. It is beautifully presented in the same iconic apothecary bottle that is now synonymous with Hendrick albeit in a sumptuous dark blue, inspired by the key essence of Blue Lotus Blossom. It also features an "all seeing eye" on the label as a solid circle and a reference to the rounded character of the liquid.
