Master distiller Jean-Sébastien Robicquet and his team at Maison Villevert decided in 2006 to ignore the rules and establish their own methods, developing a unique recipe and distinguishing themselves from the great distilleries, creating a gin based on grape brandy instead of cereals . To make this distillate even more unique, Jean - Sébastien decides to macerate the vine flowers manually collected in the neutral grape brandy with the subsequent addition of juniper, lime, Chinese licorice, cardamom, ginger from Nigeria, nutmeg, cubeb berry, coriander and cassio bark. What makes G’Vine Floraison so distinct are not only the ingredients themselves, but also the experience and long tradition of the master distillers, as well as the techniques used for production. First, the aromatic plants and spices are separated into four groups, each of which is macerated, distilled and purified individually and then mixed with the others to create the modern and unconventional G’Vine.
Gin "Floraison Verde" G Vine is the first gin created from neutral alcohol of grapes and flower of the vine in the Cognac region (France), by Jean Sébastien Robicquot and Bruno de Reilhac. A product that erases the notions of classic gin. In mid-June of each year, the green flower of the Ugni Blanc vine begins to bloom and before maturing and becoming a grape, it is used for the infusion of G’Vine Gin. In September the grapes are harvested and immediately pressed and transformed into wine; the resulting alcohol is distilled four times, producing a neutral grape alcohol. Unlike the traditional grain alcohol associated with the production of gin, the alcohol that comes from this grape is decidedly less edgy and sweeter, with a softer aroma and structure. Nine botanical fruits are chosen for purity, aromas and healing properties: juniper root, licorice, green cardamom, cassia bark, coriander, juniper berries, Java pepper, nutmeg and lime. These botanicals remain in infusion for two to five days and subsequently distilled in the neutral alcohol of the grapes. It ends with a fifth and final distillation: the essence of the vine flowers, the neutral alcohol deriving from Ugni Blanc and the alcohol deriving from botanical fruits. G’Vine Floraison is spicy and velvety. It has complex soft and floral aromas. Named the best distilled gin in the world by Drinks International, it has a crystalline white color, the nose is reminiscent of cardamom and ginger and in the mouth it is round with hints of flowers and spices. The floral note is very evident, along with ginger, juniper and cardamom. Dry and clean finish.
